Abstract

L'invention concerne une courroie de transmission. Cette courroie trapézoïdale comprend un corps 2 en matière élastomère ou plastomère, une armature résistante constituée par plusieurs cablés flexibles et inextensibles parallèles entre eux et situés dans un même plan, ainsi que des tronçons 4 de profilés rigides enrobés dans la masse de son corps et répartis avec un pas sensiblement constant sur son développement, une surface de chacun de ces profilés étant sensiblement en contact avec l'armature résistante 3. Ces tronçons de profilés confèrent à la courroie une grande rigidité transversale et une bonne aptitude à conserver sa dimension transversale. Pour alléger la courroie et supprimer en même temps les pertes par hystérésis dans le corps, on forme des gorges longitudinales continues 9 et 10 dans la grande base et la petite base du trapèze de la section de la courroie. Principale application : courroies pour variateurs de vitesse.
