Abstract

The stabiliser is designed to prevent snaking of a one or two axled trailer. It has two arms forming a V and is pivoted (8) to the towbar by a support under the trailer step bearing. Angular displacement is caused by a connection at a cable arm at both sides of the tractor vehicle. The displacement is opposed by a flexible connection tending to close the arms, one acting on the other. The cables give an additional safeguard against breakage of the towing ball.
