Abstract

Le cubilot comprend un siphon à laitier 6 reliant le creuset 1 par une ouverture 7 s'étendant entre la sole 2 et un seuil 8 avec l'extérieur par un déversoir 9, ainsi qu'un siphon à fonte 21 reliant ledit creuset par une ouverture 22 s'étendant entre ladite sole et un seuil 23 de niveau moins -élevé que celui du seuil précédent 8 avec un avant-creuset 10 par un déversoir 24 de niveau moins élevé que celui du déversoir précédent 9, cet avant-creuset comportant également un trou de coulée 13 de la fonte, un injecteur supérieur 16 de produits, un bouchon poreux inférieur 18 pour l'insufflation d'un gaz de barbotage, au moins un conduit 20 d'évacuation des gaz vers le creuset et une fenêtre obturable de décrassage 25. Les perfectionnements, objet de l'invention, sont applicables à un cubilot pour le traitement direct de la fonte.
