Abstract

Procédé de laminage d'un profil ou profilé d'acier comportant des ailes ou des parties en forme d'ailes, à partir d'un bloom d'acier de section droite rectangulaire, ce procédé étant caractérisé en ce qu'il consiste à laminer le bloom dans un train de cages calibreuses, afin de réaliser un dégrossissage jusqu'à une ébauche grossière dont la largeur est plus grande que la distance la plus étroite entre les circonférences extérieures des cylindres verticaux opposés de la cage universelle, et dont la section droite réduite, presque plate, comporte une partie devant être conformée afin de réaliser lesdites ailes dans le produit finalement obtenu; laminer l'ébauche grossière de section droite plane ainsi obtenue dans la cage universelle, de façon que les cylindres verticaux et les cylindres horizontaux coopèrent en vue d'une flexion qui s'exerce principalement sur les parties devant constituer les ailes, et, finalement, laminer l'ébauche grossière, soumise à la flexion, dans les cages calibreuses, afin de réaliser la passe de laminage de finissage.
