Abstract

L'invention concerne l'industrie du caoutchouc. Elle a trait à une composition stabilisée de caoutchouc butyle halogéné comprenant du caoutchouc butyle halogéné, un carboxylate de métal alcalin ou alcalino-terreux, un éther et un oxyde ou hydroxyde d'un métal du Groupe IIA. Il s'agit par exemple d'un caoutchouc butyle halogéné contenant à la fois du brome et du chlore, stabilisé avec une composition renfermant du stéarate de calcium, des produits d'addition polyéthoxylés du sorbitol estérifiés avec une à six moles d'acide oléique et des mélanges de ces produits, ainsi que de l'hydroxyde de calcium. Des caoutchoucs butyle halogénés stabilisés conformément à l'invention acquièrent une meilleure résistance au changement de couleur par exposition aux hautes températures, par exemple pendant le séchage des polymères au cours de leur transformation dans l'industrie.
