Abstract

A sliding clasp for a sliding clasp closure fastener comprises a movable stop element which is spring-loaded and provided with a hooking point capable of engagement with the corresp closure coupling elements. The standard two-way pull-tab is replaced by a single, pivoting control element to one side of the stop element, suitable for use as a lever to bring the stop element to the release position. The pivot element provides a projecting part for finger pressure, so that the sliding clasp may be operated while pinched between two fingers of one hand. By using a spring stop element, the sliding clasp may be maintained at the position which the wearer has selected.
