Abstract

The sole piece (1) is intended for a vacuum cleaner suction nozzle, partic. having a single-slot suction duct system. The constant-width suction duct (2) is narrowed at the ends (6) of the sole to increase the air velocity, whilst on the forward and rearward sides there are inclined run-in portions (3, 4). These portions run into lower, bent edges with a radius of 0.5-2.5 mm. The portions (3, 4) are inclined at an angle of 5 deg.-10 deg. relative to the floor surface towards the outer edges. The duct may be 12-16 mm wide, whilst within the region of 10-20 mm from the ends, this is reduced to 6-10 mm.
