Abstract

The visible, outer face of the plaster is made decorative by profiling the outer edge and/or printing the surface with designs, patterns, colours etc. The plaster can appear as a flower, butterfly, fruit etc. and can be used to conceal and protect unsightly sores, wounds, scars, bruises, blemishes, pimples, etc., partic. when swimming or sun-bathing. The plaster can be fitted with a sterile gauze dressing on its inner face which also carries pressure-sensitive adhesive protected by a removable film. The adhesive pref. covers only part of the available area, being applied as discrete spots or spaced parallel bands.
