Abstract
The discharge system is for fire-extinguishing chemicals affected by low temps. and contained in a vessel, using carbon dioxide stored in the liquefied state. The gas is released into a chamber (2) before entering the vessel (6) contg. the chemical (7), so that it reaches itw working pressure in the gaseous state, and so that the endothermic effect resulting occurs outside the vessel. The chamber can be connected to the vessel by a large-dia. pipe (8) giving low-speed gas flow. Supply of liq. gas to the chamber can be controlled by a regulator (4) reacting to the pressure in the vessel.
