Abstract

The water shoes have two elongated floats (1) attached to each foot which permit an individual to walk on water. The floats also act as roller skates when the wearer is on land, each having four rollers (4) set on the corners of a plan rectangle. Water drag is minimised by partially housing the rollers in float contours, and forward propulsion is assisted by paddle type sticks manipulated by the wearer. Each float may have a double longitudinal keel (3a, 3b) each keel incorporated a roller fore and aft, contoured like a bow and stern of a boat respectively. Recesses (5, 6) in the top surfaces may locate the feet. The two floats may be connected by straps.
