Abstract
The gaseous effluents are sampled and introduced into the enclosure by a pipe, pref. disposed as a coil around the column, which opens into the upper part of the enclosure. The whole consisting of the enclosure, the column and the pipe, is maintained at a constant temp. The appts. includes means of extracting the sepd. gaseous fraction from the column and of discharging the sepd. liq. fraction from the enclosure, and pref. includes means of sampling the sepd. gaseous effluent. The appts. is partic. applicable to the carrying out of checks on the gaseous effluent leaving a steam-cracking unit e.g. to verify the rate of dilution of the unit. The invention allows the different phases present in the gaseous effluents to be sped. with sufficient efficiency and good reproducibility, and is suitable for treating large flows of effluents.
