Abstract
The system produces an undulating or crenellated strip, partic. for increasing the heat-emission area of a convector. The basic strip material (3) is alternately bent upwards and downwards to and from a reference surface for a height equal to the amplitude of the undulations, whilst clamps (A-D) prevent the bent portion being subsequently distorted. To produce a convetor element in the form of a flattened tube of metal plate with undulating strips welded to opposite sides, two strips can be shaped alongside each other sides, two strips can be shaped alongside each other in the manner described and then secured to a metal strip, which is cut to length and foldedlengthwise to form the flat tube.
