Abstract

The ship (10) is positioned between two floating pontoons (30a, 30b) moved to each of its sides or between one pontoon and a quay. During loading or off loading of the ship the mobile crane is driven along the pontoons or along the pontoon and the quay. The wheels of the mobile crane are supported by the pontoons and the quay. When the mobile crane is positioned over the ship, the lifting of the goods from the ship or the lowering of the goods in the ship is carried out at least partly while the ship is moored.
