CE DISPOSITIF COMPREND ESSENTIELLEMENT UN ELEMENT 12 DE GRANDE LONGUEUR, PAR EXEMPLE UN TUBE, FORME D'UNE MATIERE COMPOSITE FIBREUSE, NOTAMMENT D'UNE RESINE EPOXY CHARGEE DE FIBRES DE GRAPHITE. CE TUBE EST INTERPOSE ENTRE UNE ENCLUME 14 ET UN ORGANE 16 QUI RECOIT LA FORCE DUE A LA DECELERATION. SOUS L'EFFET DU CHOC, LE TUBE S'ECRASE PROGRESSIVEMENT SUR L'ENCLUME EN REPARTISSANT LA DISSIPATION DE L'ENERGIE SUR UN TEMPS RELATIVEMENT LONG ET UNE COURSE QUI PEUT ETRE EGALE A LA LONGUEUR TOTALE DE CE TUBE. CE DISPOSITIF PEUT ETRE PAR EXEMPLE INCORPORE DANS UNE JAMBE DE TRAIN D'ATTERRISSAGE D'AVIONS OU D'HELICOPTERES, DANS LES SUPPORTS LONGITUDINAUX DES LAMES DE PARE-CHOCS DE VEHICULES TERRESTRES OU DANS DES SIEGES D'AERONEFS.THIS DEVICE ESSENTIALLY CONSISTS OF A LARGE LENGTH ELEMENT 12, FOR EXAMPLE A TUBE, IN THE FORM OF A FIBROUS COMPOSITE MATERIAL, IN PARTICULAR AN EPOXY RESIN FILLED WITH GRAPHITE FIBERS. THIS TUBE IS INTERPOSED BETWEEN AN ANVIL 14 AND AN ORGAN 16 WHICH RECEIVES THE FORCE DUE TO DECELERATION. UNDER THE EFFECT OF THE SHOCK, THE TUBE GRADUALLY CRASHES ON THE ANVIL BY DISTRIBUTING THE DISSIPATION OF THE ENERGY OVER A RELATIVELY LONG TIME AND A STROKE WHICH CAN BE EQUAL TO THE TOTAL LENGTH OF THIS TUBE. THIS DEVICE CAN FOR EXAMPLE BE INCORPORATED IN A LEG OF A LANDING GEAR OF AIRCRAFT OR HELICOPTERS, IN THE LONGITUDINAL SUPPORTS OF BUMPER BLADES OF LAND VEHICLES OR IN AIRCRAFT SEATS.
