Abstract

Electric cables are often supported in light channel sections which are fitted with covers or other devices to reretain the cable. To simplify the retention of the cable, the channel section (1) has flanges (3) turned inwards to form lips (4). These lips have longitudinal slots (5). An H-shaped plastics clip (6) has lateral projections (13) at the end of each vertical arm. The arms (7) of the H are pressed together at each end and the projections (13) pushes into the slots (5). When the end of the arms are released the projections grip the inner surface of the lips (4) at the end of the slot (5).
