Abstract

The flexible pipe union collar has a tubular extension fitting inside the pipe end and a series of lengthwise jaws engaging in its wall under the action of a component sliding axially. It also has an elastic ring acting against the suitably-shaped rear ends of the jaws so as to swing them outwards and uncover the tubular extension. Each jaw can have at its rear end a bent heel protion working with the ring, and fitting with the latter in a groove in the collar body. The sliding component can be a sleeve with a thickened portion acting against the ring in the locked position, so as to hold it in the groove.
