Abstract

The comparator is for use in metrology and as an accessory for a machine tool is mounted on an assembly which provides universal mounting with max. rigidity. The carriage (9) has a locking screw (11) and a pin (10) which slides on a bar (1) to which a fixing attachment (6) is screwed. A sleeve (15) is attached to the carriage and a locking screw (18) locks a sleeve (19) onto which the comparator (20) shaft is mounted and retained by a screw (24). This allows the comparator sleeve assembly to be interchanged to permit mounting of different types of comparator.
