Abstract

Dans le procédé de fabrication selon la présente invention, pendant que l'on moule la lingotière dans un moule en sable 8, 9, 10, on injecte de l'air dans le sable de moulage en un endroit adjacent à l'extrémité inférieure de la lingotière 1, après que la surface de la lingotière se soit solidifiée. L'air injecté entraîne une transformation en ferrite de la perlite se trouvant à l'endroit de la surface intérieure de la lingotière. Ceci a pour effet d'améliorer la résistance à la corrosion de cette région superficielle pendant la coulée des lingots dans la lingotière et de prolonger ainsi la durée de vie utile de cette lingotière.
