Abstract

La présente invention a trait à un système d'impression à jet d'encre comprenant une tête d'impression 1 dotée d'au moins une buse 17 à travers laquelle, en cours de fonctionnement, des gouttelettes d'encre sont éjectées sur un support d'enregistrement 19. Le système comprend un réservoir 8 contenant une certaine quantité de solvant liquide 10 pour l'encre et un dispositif de transport 16 entraînant le solvant par capillarité entre le réservoir 8 et une zone 14a qui, en cours de fonctionnement, est de façon continue ou intermittente, adjacente à la buse 17 ou aux buses, ce qui fait que par évaporation dudit solvant 10 dans ladite zone 14a, se trouve créée une atmosphère saturée en solvant qui empêche l'encre d'épaissir ou de se dessécher dans la buse 17 ou les buses.
