Ledit appareil comprend un capteur 1 mesurant le contenu d'un réservoir et une source de courant stable, un instrument indicateur 8 monté en parallèle audit capteur, une résistance 6 correspondant à la consommation moyenne du véhicule en carburant ainsi qu'une résistance 5 qui varie en fonction de la position du papillon étant montées en série avec l'instrument 8. Application aux véhicules automobiles.
