Abstract

Elément filtrant comportant une cage cylindrique ajourée et un panneau cylindrique de mousse à cellules communicantes entourant ladite cage, ledit panneau présentant au moins un sillon continu rapprochant localement ses faces latérales, selon le brevet principal. Selon le présent perfectionnement, l'élément filtrant comporte une deuxième cage cylindrique ajourée entourant directement le panneau de mousse, les deux cages présentant chacune une collerette saillant en direction du sillon continu en regard en vue du maintien dudit panneau entre lesdites cages, les deux collerettes associées audit sillon étant en outre décalées axialement l'une par rapport à l'autre de façon à imprimer une chicane à la zone du panneau enserrée entre celles-ci. Application aux filtres à air pour véhicules automobiles.
