Abstract
Cet appareil, notamment un radioaltimètre, comporte, dans une boucle d'asservissement, un générateur d'un signal hyperfréquence, un mélangeur qui délivre un signal de battement entre l'onde émise et l'onde reçue, un discriminateur de fréquence, un intégrateur-anamorphoseur et un modulateur qui délivre une tension en dents de scie pour commander le générateur. La durée T des dents de scie est en relation linéaire avec la distance à mesurer. Selon l'invention, afin d'améliorer la linéarité du signal d'émission, une boucle numérique connectée entre le discriminateur et le modulateur comporte en cascade un dispositif à seuils, un additionneur, une mémoire et un convertisseur numérique analogique. Un organe de découpage relie le modulateur à la mémoire. La non-linéarité du signal émis étant réduite des trois quarts il est possible d'introduire un filtre passe-bas en sortie du mélangeur, ce qui améliore la précision sur T et donc sur la distance à mesurer. Application : amélioration de la précision des radio-altimètres à modulation de fréquence.
