Abstract
The insulating glass pane is intended to satisfy the conditions of armour class B5, i.e. the strictest requirements, without splintering under fire. To this end, the laminated glass pane (1) arranged on the side under fire has a total glass thickness of from 30 to 40 mm and a total film thickness of from 3 to 5 mm, and the air interspace has a thickness of from 9 to 15 mm, the glazing having a total thickness of about 60 mm. The laminated glass pane (2) on the side opposite to that under fire comprises a thin silicate glass pane (20) facing an air interspace (3), and a thermally prestressed silicate glass pane (22) having a thickness of from 5 to 8 mm facing towards the outside.
