Abstract

The material consists of a number of layers: (i) an upper plastic coated layer (1) which is completely impermeable to liquids, (ii) an aluminised layer (2) to provide complete thermal insulation, (iii) a wadding layer (3) for heat retention, and (iv) a micro-fibre fabric layer (4) to give a perfect heat exchange with the user.

TEXTILE ASSEMBLY FOR TREATMENT
HT COLD PREVENTION
The present invention relates to the assembly of textiles for the treatment and prevention of cold or body temperature drops in all environments (hospital, food or refrigeration etc ...).

 The problem is based on the impossibility of coping with the cold and the drop in temperature in an effective and lasting manner.

 Until now, this problem had been treated by relatively archaic methods and not guaranteeing conclusive results, especially since this problem was seen treated in a palliative and not preventive form.

 Thus in the hospital sector a patient who is cold is: either covered with several blankets which do not comply with the required hygienic conditions, or covered with sheets preheated in ovens, which must very often be changed, their temperature maintenance being very limited in time.

 Similarly after an intervention, survival blankets are used in the recovery room to isolate the patient from ambient temperature, but nothing allows the heat released by the body to be recovered.

These observations therefore encourage us to create a product, taking various forms and making it possible to combat the aggression of the cold.
- in the preventive form (to avoid a drop in body temperature)
- in palliative form (so that the temperature rises in a faster time)
The concept presented here, called ETNA is a global concept based on the prevention and treatment of cold by an isolation process, recovery of body heat and its retransmission to the user.

 It takes the form of an assembly of materials (or fabrics) whose technical characteristics are sufficiently effective to respond to the problems of people in a situation of exposure to cold (hospital, food or refrigeration environment, etc.).

Technically, this process is composed of different elements
- a plastic layer (liquid and air tight insulation)
- an aluminized film (barrier to the aggression of the cold)
- a silicone wadding (to keep the heat)
- a microfiber water repellent fabric (perfect heat exchange with the user)
The product can come in different forms and thus adapt to different parts of the body of people exposed to the cold.

So we can observe
- covers,
- leggings,
- vests,
- cervical protections,
- bras,
- all shapes achievable from assembly
of materials or fabrics.

 1) Assembly for the protection of people exposed to temperature variations, consisting of textile materials having technical faculties of insulation and protection from the cold, recovery and retransmission of heat characterized in that it is composed of a plasticized upper layer (1) and completely liquid tight, an aluminized layer (2) ensuring perfect thermal insulation, a wadding layer (3) ensuring perfect heat recovery, a layer of water repellent fabric micro fiber type (4) ensuring perfect heat exchange with the user.
