Certains véhicules automobiles sont équipés de sièges qui comportent une assise et un dossier rabattable sur l'assise. Lorsque le dossier est rabattu sur l'assise, la face arrière du dossier est disposée à plat, au-dessus du bloc formé par l'assise et le dossier rabattu sur cette dernière. La face arrière du dossier peut alors être utilisée en tant que tablette pour y déposer des objets. Pour se faire, la face arrière du dossier est en général recouverte d'une coque rigide comportant éventuellement des cavités de rangement. Ainsi, le document EP 1 366 951 décrit un élément de rangement de la face arrière d'un dossier de véhicule automobile qui est constitué d'une coque rigide qui comporte une portion formant plateau dans laquelle sont ménagées des cavités de rangement, et une jupe rigide, solidaire du bord de la portion formant plateau précitée et qui s'étend sensiblement perpendiculairement à cette dernière. La portion formant plateau recouvre la face arrière du dossier tandis que la jupe s'emboîte partiellement sur la tranche du dossier. Cet élément de rangement implique de concevoir un dossier de siège de véhicule automobile spécialement adapté pour recevoir et fixer la coque précitée. Il faut donc prévoir un siège dont le dossier comporte des moyens de fixation spéciaux qui permettent la fixation de l'élément de rangement décrit ci-dessus, ce qui est contraignant et onéreux. Un but de la présente invention est de proposer un élément de rangement qui peut être utilisé, notamment sur un dossier de siège automobile, et qui remédie à tout ou partie des inconvénients précités.
