Mécanisme d'articulation (50) destiné à articuler un dossier (3) de siège (1) de véhicule automobile sur une assise (2), ledit mécanisme comprenant une première armature (12), une deuxième armature (22) montée rotative par rapport à la première armature (12) autour d'un axe d'articulation (Y), un mécanisme de verrouillage (30) comprenant une pluralité d'éléments de verrouillage (32), et une bague de fermeture (42) fixée à la deuxième armature (22). La première armature (12) comprend une pluralité de portions de guidage (14) espacées les unes des autres par des évidements (16) dans lesquels sont guidés les éléments de verrouillage (32). La bague de fermeture (42) s'étend alternativement en regard des éléments de verrouillage (32) et des portions de guidage (14). La première armature (12) comprend en outre un collet (18) reliant les portions de guidage (14).
