Description
The object of the invention is a vehicle seat with a secured backrest. For example, during a shock at the rear of the vehicle caused by another vehicle, the force will be transmitted to a seat on which sits an occupant, causing an impact of the back of said seat against the back and the shoulders of this occupant. As a result, the seat may be damaged, and the occupant may experience spinal trauma, such as a "whiplash". The invention relates more specifically to a secure seat 10, designed to avoid these two dreaded events. More specifically, certain seat backs, particularly those located at the front of a motor vehicle, often include a reclining mechanism of their backrest, which is incorporated in said folder. Presently, the solutions proposed to achieve a safeguard of this tilt mechanism, and to avoid a whiplash-type injury, are of two types: The implementation of a decoupling between the adjustment function of the backrest and the safety function designed to avoid injury to an occupant seated on a vehicle seat. This solution is quite complicated, uncertain reliability and generates a perceived poor quality, The introduction of two additional joints in the middle of the file. This solution is complex and expensive because it requires the installation of additional equipment to operate with good accuracy. A vehicle seat according to the invention makes it possible both to protect the reclining mechanism of its backrest and to provide a safe function 30 tending to prevent an injury of the spine to an occupant who would be seated on said seat, while overcoming the drawbacks mentioned above. In order to fully understand the description, the terms "superior", "inferior", "front", "rear", "lateral", "transverse" and "longitudinal" shall be considered as if the seat were placed in the vehicle. The invention relates to a vehicle seat comprising a backrest with a lower structure, a movable upper structure and an adjusting device for varying the inclination of said upper structure on said lower structure. The main feature of a seat according to the invention is that the lower structure comprises a movable damping device for damping an impact of the backrest against the back of an occupant, said damping device being associated with a locking the upper structure on the lower structure, said locking device being triggered by the actuation of the damping device. In this way, for example when a shock to the rear of the vehicle caused by another vehicle, the effort is reflected to the seat back, which moves 15 brutally against the back and shoulders of the occupant sitting on the said seat. The damping device cash this effort by moving, said displacement causing the release of the locking device to bind rigidly the upper structure to the lower structure. The upper structure then stops its stroke early enough to preserve the device 20 for adjusting the inclination of said upper structure on the lower structure. Preferably, the damping device and the locking device are of mechanical origin, and do not require any specific energy source to operate. These two devices are triggered passively, in response to a shock on the vehicle. The damping and locking actions follow each other and are performed naturally in continuity with one another. Advantageously, the damping device is a flat pusher associated with a prestressed return member, said pusher extending in a vertical and transverse plane of the vehicle and being able to move along a longitudinal axis of said vehicle. In other words, the pusher is comparable to a flat screen, which would be parallel to a headrest of said seat, said pusher being designed to dampen a shock in a longitudinal direction of the vehicle. The damping is achieved by a compression of the return member. Preferably, the preloaded return member is a spiral spring, the pusher protruding forward of the lower structure under the effect of said spring. In normal situation, the spring is slightly compressed to maintain the pusher in an advanced position on the lower structure. When an impact occurs at the rear of the vehicle, the interaction between the backrest and the back of the occupant causes a depression of the pusher, which then approaches the lower structure by causing compression of the spring.
Advantageously, the pusher is a flat rectangular plate located in a central zone of the lower structure, considered along a transverse axis of the vehicle. In this way, the pusher and the back of the occupant are perfectly aligned in the direction of propagation of the shock, which is materialized in this case by the longitudinal axis of the vehicle, allowing the different movements of the backrest and the occupant initiated by the shock, to remain in a longitudinal and vertical plane of the vehicle. Preferably, the pusher is connected via an articulated connection device to at least one locking arm, a depression of the pusher causing a displacement in translation of each arm to lock the upper structure to the lower structure. Thus, the displacement of the pusher is used to move at least one arm intended to come into contact with the upper structure, and cause its locking on the lower structure. In addition to the damping function, the pusher acts as a trigger button of the locking device, which is constituted by the articulated connection device and each locking arm. Each arm acts as a locking stop vis-à-vis the upper structure bearing against it. Advantageously, the pusher is connected to two locking arms via two articulated connecting devices, said arms being aligned along a transverse axis of the vehicle, a depression of the pusher causing a spacing of said arms along said axis. alignment. The presence of two arms reinforces and homogenizes the locking function of the upper structure on the lower structure. Preferably, the translational movements of the two arms are simultaneous and of the same amplitude. In other words, a depression of the pusher causes the deployment of the two arms to the outside of the lower structure, so that the emerging portion of each of said arms can come into contact with the upper structure and block in translation. Preferably, each articulated connection device is represented by a rod whose one end is articulated on the pusher and whose other end is articulated on a locking arm. The rod serves as a return rod and ensures the translational movement of the locking arms in a direction, which is perpendicular to the direction of depression of the pusher. A rod articulated at both ends, constitutes a simple object, easy to manufacture and light, and which is perfectly adapted to transform a movement in translation in a direction, in a translational movement in a perpendicular direction. Advantageously, the upper structure has at least one receiving zone configured to cooperate with the locking device, so as to immobilize said upper structure on the lower structure. To ensure satisfactory locking of the upper structure on the lower structure, it is desirable that the interaction between the locking device and said upper structure is optimized. This optimization is achieved by means of a reception zone located in said upper structure, and specially developed to interact in a complementary manner with said locking device. Preferably, the reception zone comprises at least one orifice. In the case where the locking device implements at least one locking arm, each arm is intended to be inserted into an orifice of the upper structure to lock said upper structure on the lower structure. In this way, the upper structure will be locked in translation along a longitudinal axis of the vehicle. The subject of the invention is a vehicle whose main characteristic is that it comprises at least one seat according to the invention. It should be noted that the seats which have a device for adjusting the inclination of their backrest are the front seats of a vehicle. A vehicle seat has the advantage of having two additional functions, by safeguarding the device for adjusting the inclination of its backrest and protecting the occupant sitting on said seat, while remaining compact and of a constant weight compared to the seats of the state of the art. Indeed, the parts involved in the realization of this function, are small and light, and occupy a space already available in the folder of said seat. They furthermore have the advantage of being able to be designed directly from already existing seats, by means of a simple and inexpensive arrangement of these, requiring no significant modification of their framework. The following is a detailed description of a preferred embodiment of a seat according to the invention, with reference to FIGS. 1 to 4. FIG. 1 is a partial perspective view of the front face of the seat. DESCRIPTION OF THE PREFERRED EMBODIMENTS FIG. 2 is a partial perspective view of one side of the structure of a seat back according to the invention in a normal situation, FIG. 3 is a partial and enlarged perspective view of the interaction zone between the upper structure and the lower structure of a seat according to the invention in a normal situation. In order to clearly understand the orientation of the seat in the figures, it is point out that the X axis represents a longitudinal axis of the vehicle, the Y axis corresponds to a transverse axis of the vehicle and the Z axis corresponds to a vertical axis.
Dans cette position, bien qu'étant écartés, les deux bras de blocage 13 se retrouvent à une distance minimale l'un de l'autre, et sont suffisamment proches pour ne pas interférer avec les deux bras latéraux 8 de la structure supérieure 3.Referring to Figures 1 and 2, a vehicle seat back 1 according to the invention comprises a lower structure 2, an upper structure 3 movable in rotation, and an adjusting device 4 for varying the position of the structure The lower structure 2 comprises two parallel lateral uprights 5, extending along a substantially vertical axis Z, and an upper and horizontal connecting segment 6, connecting said lateral uprights 5 at their upper end. and extending along a transverse axis Y of the vehicle. The connecting segment 6, which constitutes the uppermost part of the lower structure 2, is in the form of a flat piece and of small thickness, forming part of a substantially vertical and transverse plane of the vehicle. Referring to FIG. 1, the upper structure 3 comprises a substantially horizontal upright 7, extending along a transverse axis Y of the vehicle, said upper upright 7 being extended at its two ends by two parallel arms 8, extending to the ground in a substantially vertical direction. These two arms 8 are planar and each fits in a vertical and longitudinal plane of the vehicle. In this way, this upper structure 3 is a solid part having a U shape. This upper structure 3 is fixed to the lower structure 2 so that the upper upright 7 of the upper structure corresponds to the highest part of the upper structure. 1, and so that the two arms 8 edge externally and partially, the two lateral and vertical uprights of the lower structure 2. The adjustment device 4 is inserted between the lower structure 3 and the upper structure 2, at the the upper link segment 6 of the lower structure 2. This device 4 allows the upper structure 3 to pivot about a horizontal and transverse axis of the vehicle, located at the upper link segment 6 of the lower structure 2. Referring to Figures 1 and 2, a vehicle seat according to the invention is provided with a mechanism for damping and locking the upper structure 3 on the lower structure 2. This mechanism comprises a fastening base 9, a pusher 10, a spiral spring 11, two connecting rods 12 and two locking arms 13. The base 9 is an elongated piece, which is rigidly fixed to the connecting segment 6 of the lower structure 3, so that the longitudinal axes of said base 9 and said segment 6 are horizontal and merged. A hollow cylindrical end protrudes from said base 9 towards the front of the vehicle, in a horizontal direction. The pusher 10 comprises a flat rectangular plate 15, of small thickness, which is extended by a central cylindrical foot 16, which is perpendicular to said plate 15. The diameter of this foot 16 is smaller than that of the hollow end of the 9, and the pusher 10 is arranged relative to the base 9, so that its foot 16 is placed in said tip, the plate 15 is thus found in a transverse and vertical plane of the vehicle. The spring 11 is inserted between the outer wall of the foot 16 and the inner wall of the nozzle being compressed. In this way, said spring 11 allows the plate 15 to protrude in front of the lower structure 2, keeping the plate 15 away from the base 9. The two locking arms 13 are horizontally aligned along a longitudinal axis of the base 9, and are located at both ends of said base 9. These two arms 13 can slide along a longitudinal axis of said base 9 in two opposite directions, either to approach one another, or for s move away from each other. Each connecting rod 12 is horizontal and hingedly connects the plate 15 of the pusher 10 to a locking arm 13. More specifically, each rod 12 has a first end articulated on the upper edge of the plate 15 around a vertical axis, and a second end, which is articulated on one end of a locking arm 12 about a vertical axis. The connecting rods 12 are articulated at the two ends of the two locking arms 13, which are closest to one another. The two ends of said arms 13 which are farthest from each other project laterally from the lower structure 2. Referring to FIG. 2, in a usual configuration, the pusher 10 protrudes towards the front of the backrest 1 under the effect of the spring 11 in compression, which naturally tends to relax, so that the plate 15 is detached from the base 9. In this position, although being spaced apart, the two locking arms 13 are at a minimum distance from each other, and are close enough not to interfere with the two lateral arms 8 of the upper structure 3.
Referring to FIG. 3, during a shock to the rear of the vehicle caused by another vehicle, the backrest 1 of the seat and the back of the occupant, who is seated on said seat, come into sharp contact with each other. one of the other. The back then pushes the pusher 10 towards the base 9, compressing the spring 11. Since the displacement of the pusher 10 is in the opposite direction to that in which the thrust of the spring 11 is exerted, it is made with a increasing braking force until it stops. Said pusher 10 thus contributes to damping the impact between the backrest 1 and the back of the occupant. Simultaneously, the depression of the pusher 10 causes a displacement of the two connecting rods 12, which, from an initial position inclined relative to the longitudinal axis of the base 9, tend to pivot to end up contiguous to said base 9 along said longitudinal axis. This pivoting then generates a linear translation of the two locking arms 13 along their longitudinal axis, in a direction that moves them away from each other. In this way, each locking arm 13 passes through an orifice 17 of each arm 8 of the upper structure 3, to lock the position of said upper structure 3 on the lower structure 2. The displacement of the locking arms 13 is perpendicular. at the surface plane of each of the arms 8 of the upper structure 3. These locking arms 13 act as abutments with respect to the upper structure 3, which can no longer move relative to the lower structure 2, under the effect of shock. The upper structure 3 thus avoids damaging the adjustment device 4 by coming into contact with it.
Each locking arm 13 may advantageously be associated with a return spring, so that it is systematically returned to its usual retracted position, as soon as the contact of the back of the occupant with the backrest 1 has ceased. The locking of the upper structure 3 on the lower structure 2 by means of the locking arms 13 is a temporary operation. The damping device, via the protruding pusher 10, prevents an occupant who is sitting on the seat, from suffering trauma to the spine, while the locking device represented essentially by the two locking arms 7, locks the upper structure 3 on the lower structure 2, to protect the inclination adjustment device of the upper structure 3 on the lower structure 2.
