Description

The invention relates to a vehicle seat resistant to a baggage shock. BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION Currently, the majority of motor vehicles has a rear trunk 5, a row of seats in the rear and a row of seats in the front, the rear seats being retractable to expand the capacity of said trunk. During an external collision involving the vehicle, the objects, which are stored in the trunk and widened wider, may hit the back of the front seats, and thus damage their structure. The invention relates to a vehicle seat designed to withstand such impacts of objects. More specifically, the vehicle front seatbacks are generally adjustable in inclination by means of a mechanism incorporated in their structure. The main risk when a trunk object hits the back of a folder is the damage to that mechanism. Presently, the solutions proposed for saving the tilting mechanism are of two types: - The implementation of a decoupling between the backrest adjustment function and the luggage hold function. This solution is rather complicated, of uncertain reliability and gives rise to poor perceived quality. The introduction of two additional joints in the middle of the file. This solution is complex and expensive because it requires the installation of additional equipment to operate with a certain accuracy. A vehicle seat according to the invention is designed to preserve the tilt mechanism of its backrest in the case of an object impact stored in the trunk, overcoming the disadvantages mentioned above. It is important to remember that this object impact is due to an external shock involving the vehicle, said shock being able to be caused by the vehicle, or being suffered by said vehicle. In order to fully understand the description, the terms "superior", "inferior", "front", "rear", "lateral", "transverse" and "longitudinal" shall be considered as if the seat were placed in the vehicle. The invention relates to a vehicle seat comprising a backrest with a lower structure, an upper structure movable relative to said lower structure and an adjustment device for varying the inclination of said structure upper on said lower structure. The main characteristic of a seat according to the invention is that the upper structure is provided with a mechanical fastening member allowing said upper structure, which has moved following the impact of an object at the rear. of the file, to come rigidly to bind to the lower structure. Indeed, when an object loaded in the trunk of a vehicle is subjected to an acceleration forward, due to a shock in the rear of the vehicle, it will come crashing into the back of a seat placed at the front of the vehicle. 'before, risking to damage the device of adjustment of its inclination. In order to prevent such an event from occurring, the upper structure of the backrest, which is impacted by the accidentally moved object, will move forward until it bears against the lower structure. folder. The securing member will then interact with said lower structure to stop the forward stroke of the upper structure, and freeze its position against said lower structure. In this way, by stopping its forward stroke, the upper structure avoids impacting the adjustment device, and therefore damaging it. Preferably, the securing member contributes to nesting the upper structure in the lower structure, so that said upper structure comes to lock in there, 25 without the possibility of bouncing or to continue its course in a different direction. This rigid connection between the two structures of the file following the accidental impact of an object, can be performed with or without deformation of the upper structure. The term "mechanical" applied to the fastener means that said member operates passively without the aid of a specific energy source. The rigid connection between the two backrest structures is achieved by means of a mechanical interaction between two parts, such as a clipping. The mechanical fastening member may cooperate, either directly with a natural relief of the lower structure, or with a complementary securing member of said lower structure, specifically developed for this cooperation. It should be emphasized that the upper structure is rotatably mounted on the lower structure, and that said lower structure can itself be adjustable in inclination. Advantageously, the lower structure is provided with a complementary securing member, adapted to cooperate with the fastener of the upper structure, to ensure the rigid connection between said structures. In this way, the connection between the two structures is safer, more precise, and therefore better controlled. Preferably, the rigid connection between the upper structure and the lower structure is made with the fastening member of the upper structure, by means of a male / female type interaction with said lower structure. This is a proven and solid mechanical interaction, benefiting from a preliminary guiding phase. A clipping link is an advantageous example of a rigid connection between the two structures of the folder. Advantageously, the securing member comprises at least one protruding support lug, each tab being caused to be housed in at least one orifice of the lower structure. A lug is a small mechanical part, perfectly adapted to a vehicle seat, whose size must remain low, to be placed without difficulty in a vehicle interior. In addition, a tab can easily be installed on an existing upper file structure, without requiring a deep remodeling of said upper structure. At the time of the rigid connection between the upper structure and the lower structure, which is caused by an object impact stored in the trunk, each leg can be deformed to damp the said connection. Preferably, the upper structure comprises a lower horizontal segment supporting two separate tabs, the lower structure comprising an upper segment having two distinct zones, each having at least one orifice, each tab cooperating with at least one orifice of each zone. The existence of two tabs, advantageously symmetrically implanted in the upper structure, will allow to standardize the rigid connection between said structure and the lower structure, particularly by preventing the upper structure from folding or pivoting in an unexpected direction. The holes will serve as receiving elements for each of the legs. Advantageously, each leg has two projections placed one over the other and protruding horizontally, each zone comprising at least two vertically aligned orifices, the two advances of the same leg being intended to be housed in the orifices of the same zoned. Such an arrangement of the projections and orifices makes it possible to prevent the upper structure from pivoting relative to the lower structure about a horizontal axis once said tabs have been placed in the orifices. This arrangement between the tabs and the orifices contributes to stabilizing the rigid connection between the two structures by not promoting a direction of displacement or deformation of the upper structure relative to the lower structure.

Preferably, each leg is deformable. When the upper structure comes into contact with the lower structure following the accidental impact of an object, the deformation of the legs will help dampen said contact and thus reduce the intensity of the shock transmitted to the lower structure. The legs must however have a certain rigidity to prevent the upper structure to bend randomly around the lower structure. The fact that the tabs are deformable reinforces the rigid connection between the upper structure and the lower structure. The subject of the invention is a vehicle whose main characteristic is that it comprises at least one seat according to the invention.

Advantageously, the vehicle comprises a front row having at least two seats according to the invention, and a rear row of retractable seats that can be folded to enlarge a trunk, each seat of the front row being sized to withstand the impact of an object placed in the trunk enlarged during a collision of said vehicle. Preferably, the object is a luggage. A vehicle seat has the advantage of having additional functionality through safeguarding the device for adjusting the inclination of its backrest, following the impact of an object stored in the trunk, while remaining of a congestion and a constant weight compared to the seats of the state of the art. It also has the advantage of being designed directly from an already existing seat, by means of a simple and inexpensive arrangement thereof, requiring no change in depth.

A detailed description of a preferred embodiment of a seat according to the invention is given below, with reference to FIGS. 1 to 4. FIG. 1 is a partial perspective view of the front face of the structure. of a seat back according to the invention in normal situation, Figure 2 is a partial perspective view of the rear face of the structure of a back of a seat according to the invention in normal situation, The FIG. 3 is a partial and enlarged perspective view of the interaction zone between the upper structure and the lower structure of a seat according to the invention in a normal situation; FIG. 4 is a partial perspective view of the rear face of FIG. the structure of a seat back according to the invention following an accidental impact of an object.

To clearly visualize the orientation of the seat in the figures, it should be emphasized that the X axis represents a longitudinal axis of the vehicle, the Y axis corresponds to a transverse axis of the vehicle and the Z axis corresponds to a vertical axis.

Durant cette solidarisation rigide entre la structure supérieure 3 et la structure inférieure 2, les pattes 11 se sont légèrement déformées pour amortir le contact entre ladite structure supérieure 3 et ladite structure inférieure 2.Referring to FIGS. 1, 2 and 4, a vehicle seat back 1 according to the invention comprises a lower structure 2, an upper structure 3 that is mobile in rotation, and an adjustment device 4 intended to vary the position of the vehicle. the upper structure 3 on the lower structure 2. The lower structure 2 comprises two parallel lateral uprights 5, extending along a substantially vertical axis Z, and an upper and horizontal connecting segment 6, connecting said lateral uprights 5 at their level. upper end and extending along a transverse axis Y of the vehicle. The connecting segment 6, which is the highest part of the lower structure 2, is in the form of a flat piece and thin, forming a substantially vertical plane. Said segment 6 has in its central zone, considered along its longitudinal axis, a flat wall inclined 7 with respect to the general surface plane of said segment 6, said wall 7 creating a recess within said segment 6. This inclined wall 7 is rectangular , and its longitudinal axis is parallel to the longitudinal axis of said segment 6. Each end of said inclined wall 7, considered with respect to its longitudinal axis, has a series of three orifices 8 aligned along the short side of said rectangular wall 7. The upper structure 3 comprises an upper upright 9 having a rectilinear and horizontal central section 16, extended at its two ends, by two inclined lateral sections 17, said three sections 16, 17 extending along a transverse axis Y of the vehicle and in a substantially vertical plane. The free ends of the two lateral sections 17 are rigidly connected to the two ends of a horizontal and straight lower upright. This upper structure 3 has two arms parallel and substantially vertical, each originating at a junction zone between each lateral section 17 and the lower upright 10, and extending downwards in a substantially vertical direction. These two arms 11 are planar and each fits in a vertical and longitudinal plane of the vehicle. Referring to FIGS. 2 and 3, the lower upright 10 of the upper structure 3 supports two parallel, profiled tabs 12 protruding under said upright 10 in a substantially vertical direction. Each leg 12 has two horizontal projections 13,14 extending in the same direction and placed one on the other. The distance separating said tabs 12 is identical to that separating the two series of orifices 8 from the upper link segment 6 of the lower structure 2. As shown in FIG. 1, a seat according to the invention also comprises an adjusting device. 4 for controlling the inclination of the upper structure 3 on the lower structure 2. In fact, the lower structure 2 is fixed in rotation, and the upper structure 3 is pivotally mounted on said lower structure 2, about an axis horizontal and transverse Y of the vehicle. More specifically, in a normal mounting configuration, the upper structure 3 is placed on the lower structure 2 so that the two arms 11 of the upper structure 3 cover the two lateral uprights 5 of the lower structure 2, and so that the lower and horizontal upright of the upper structure 3 is shifted rearwardly from the connecting segment 6 of the lower structure 2. The central section 16 of the upper upright 9 of the upper structure 3 constitutes the the highest of the seat back 1. Thus, the two lugs 11 are aligned with the two sets of orifices 8 along a longitudinal axis X of the vehicle, being placed behind them and being separated from them. A vehicle according to the invention has a row of front seats whose back 1 has the features described above, a row of retractable rear seats and a rear trunk. The rear seats can therefore fold to increase the storage space of the trunk. Thus, when said vehicle is found in a configuration for which the trunk is enlarged and is loaded with luggage, one of said luggage can be propelled forward during a shock at the rear of the vehicle, and come crashing into the backrest 1 of a front seat, in the direction indicated by the arrow 15 appearing in Figures 1,2 and 3. The upper structure 3 is then translated forward under the effect of the impact of the baggage, until that the lugs 11 are housed and lock in the orifices 8. Once said lugs 11 are fixed in the orifices 8, the upper structure 3 immediately blocks its forward stroke, being rigidly secured to the lower structure 2 In this way, by stopping early enough its forward travel, the upper structure 3 avoids striking the adjustment device 4, and thus to damage it. It suffices to replace only the damaged upper structure 3 without having to touch the adjustment device 4, to make the seat operational again. During this rigid connection between the upper structure 3 and the lower structure 2, the lugs 11 are slightly deformed to damp the contact between said upper structure 3 and said lower structure 2.
