Description

The subject of the present invention is a carabiner or automatic mooring hook with a double articulation that can be hooked and unhooked to an organeau or object at a distance, and a gaffe + carabiner assembly intended particularly but not exclusively for anchoring a vessel. on a dead body Existing systems allow this operation using a gaff, but these systems are either integral with the gaff, which is only suitable for temporary anchoring; either require in addition to the rope or mooring cable of the boat the use of a specific rope connected to the carabiner and dedicated to the opening of said carabiner, in particular for the systems FR2720130 and FR2797001, in which the additional rope presents a disadvantage for a permanent mooring; either imply for the opening of the carabiner a precise action with the help of a hook on a ring or lever acting on the closure member of the carabiner, operation made difficult by the length of the hook added to the movements of the boat, in particularly for the system FR2724429. The aforementioned disadvantage is found for the US2009 / 0255100 Al system requiring the introduction of the end of a gaff into a bushing integral with the carabiner, said bushing having a slot which further implies a precise angular position of the hook. The present invention provides a remotely maneuverable snap hook or hook which differs from existing systems in its simplicity, ease of use and reliability. This carabiner is inexpensive to manufacture and easily operated remotely using a gaff equipped with a specific tip complementary to the carabiner. For this purpose, this carabiner is composed of a hook on the body which pivots on two parallel axes a closing lever constituted by a single rigid rod articulated at both ends on each of the two faces of the hook body. When pivoting the lever, the offset of these axes causes a torsion of the lever, which torsion is the elastic return means that keeps the lever in the closed position. The lever comprises at one of its ends a protruding finger allowing the opening of said closing lever by a thrust action exerted by the tip of a hook. The body of the hook has a hole dedicated to the attachment of a rope, and a handle for guiding the end or end of the hook to facilitate the opening of the carabiner, which also allows easy grip for a hanging or stall nearby. In the closed position, the aforementioned finger protrudes towards the handle, and in the open position this finger is aligned on the connecting face of the handle on the body of the carabiner. The tip of the gaff comprises a flared orifice facilitating the introduction of the handle of the carabiner for attachment or remote stall, advantage amplified by the profile preferably semi-sphere or conical end of the handle . For the opening maneuver, pulling on the rope allows the carabiner's handle to be pointed in front of the operator to facilitate the fitting of the hook end.

The opening of the carabiner is achieved by exerting an axial thrust on the hook while keeping the rope stretched. This action causes the pivoting of the finger and the opening of the carabiner when the tip of the hook reaches the stop on the carabiner body, advantageous feature to open the carabiner without the need to dose the effort exerted when the maneuver, which allows to perform the maneuver without special precautions. The carabiner closes by the action of the elastic means when the hook is removed. The hooking of the carabiner on an organeau can be done with one hand while holding together the hook and the mooring rope, the carabiner being previously opened. In another embodiment of the invention, the hole for fixing a rope is located at the end of the handle of the carabiner. This arrangement allows the docking of the boat by a rope of large diameter, without the size of the knot or docking system of this rope harms the accessibility to the opening lever by the end of the hook. In this configuration, the tip of the hook has a slot which cooperates with the handle of the carabiner for guiding the gaff during the opening operation of the carabiner. According to a variant not shown, the carabiner can be secured to the hook to facilitate attachment to a dead body with one hand. For this purpose the handle of the carabiner is provided with a retractable lug which cooperates with a groove in the flared orifice of the hook end.

Une traction sur le cordage 15 permet de diriger la poignée 2 du mousqueton face à l'opérateur pour faciliter la mise en place de l'embout 10.Below the detailed description of the invention, with reference to the accompanying figures sheets 1/2 and 2/2 in which: Figure 1 (sheet 1/2) shows a plan view of the carabiner according to the invention, in position closure. Figure 2 (sheet 1/2) shows a top view of the carabiner in the closed position. Figure 3 (sheet 1/2) shows a plan view of the carabiner in the open position, with the hook end abutting on the carabiner body. FIG. 4 (sheet 2/2) shows a plan view of the carabiner according to one embodiment of the invention adapted to a rope of large diameter, in the closed position. FIG. 5 (sheet 2/2) shows a plan view of the carabiner according to the embodiment of the invention adapted to a rope of large diameter, in the open position, with the hook end abutting on the body carabiner. FIG. 6 (sheet 2/2) represents the right view of the gaffe tip shown in FIG. 5. The carabiner is composed of a hook-shaped body 1 (figurel) comprising a handle 2, an orifice 3 allowing the anchoring of a rope 15, as well as two orifices 5 and 6 on which is pivotally mounted the closing lever 4. The lever 4 is constituted by a single rigid rod articulated at its two ends on each of the two faces of the body on the orifices 5 and 6 (Figure 2). When pivoting the lever, the offset of these axes of articulation causes a torsion of the lever, which torsion is the elastic return means that keeps the lever in the closed position. One end of the lever 4 forms a finger 7 allowing the opening of the lever by an axial thrust or parallel to the axis of the handle 2. The opening of the carabiner is carried out with the aid of a nozzle of gaffe 10 complementary to the carabiner, shown in Figure 3. A pull on the rope 15 allows to direct the handle 2 of the carabiner facing the operator to facilitate the introduction of the tip 10.

Cette manoeuvre est facilitée par l'évasement 12 de l'orifice de l'embout de gaffe, avantage amplifié par le profil de préférence en demi-sphère de l'extrémité de la poignée 2 .The axial thrust allowing the opening of the lever 4 is obtained by engaging the opening of the hook tip 10 on the handle 2 of the carabiner to the point where the tip reaches the stop on the body of the carabiner. This maneuver is facilitated by the flaring 12 of the port of the gaffe tip, advantage amplified by the profile preferably half-sphere of the end of the handle 2.

The carabiner closes by the action of the elastic return means when the hook is removed. An embodiment of the invention adapted to a rope of large diameter or bulky is shown in Figure 4. For this purpose the handle 2a has at its end a ring 3a, or an opening adapted to connecting means such as a strap. The gaffe tip 10a (Figure 5) has a slot 17 (Figure 6) which cooperates with the handle 2a of the carabiner for guiding the gaffe during the opening operation of the carabiner. A carabiner according to the invention is particularly but not exclusively intended to facilitate the docking of a ship on a dead body or a mooring body.
