Abstract

La présente invention se rapporte à un transducteur ultrasonique (1) est destiné au contrôle par ultrasons d'une zone de soudure, ledit transducteur comprend une pluralité d'éléments émetteurs/récepteurs (3) d'ondes ultrasonores destinés à émettre des ondes ultrasonores en direction de la zone de soudure et à recevoir des ondes ultrasonores réfléchies sur la zone de soudure, les éléments émetteurs /récepteurs (3) d'ondes ultrasonores sont agencés de façon à obtenir un transducteur ultrasonique avec une surface de détection formée par au moins deux ensembles d'éléments émetteurs/récepteurs d'ondes ultrasonores qui s'étendent suivant au moins deux directions différentes (X, Y), chaque ensemble d'éléments émetteurs /récepteurs (3) d'ondes ultrasonores comprend au moins un alignement d'éléments émetteurs/récepteurs d'ondes ultrasonores, il est caractérisé en ce qu'au moins un élément émetteur/récepteur d'ondes ultrasonores est disposé à l'intersection des deux directions. La position d'un élément émetteur/récepteur au centre soit à l'intersection des deux directions permet, dans le cas d'un point de soudure, de détecter la présence d'une retassure au centre du point soudé.
