Abstract

La présente invention concerne un système (5) d'alimentation en carburant d'un moteur d'un véhicule automobile, qui comporte un réservoir (10) à carburant, une première pompe (16), dite basse pression, prélevant du carburant dans le réservoir (10) à carburant pour le fournir à une deuxième pompe (22), dite haute pression, reliée à la première pompe (16) par une conduite (18), une unité (32) de contrôle pilotant la première pompe (16) pour réguler une quantité de carburant fournie par la première pompe (16) en fonction des besoins de la deuxième pompe (22), caractérisé en ce que le système (5) comporte au moins un réservoir (26) additionnel de carburant, et une vanne (30) commandée par l'unité (32) de contrôle.
