Abstract
Le silencieux selon l'invention est destiné à un montage transversal dans un véhicule et comprend un boîtier dans lequel se prolongent longitudinalement, selon un axe horizontal (Y), des tubes internes de circulation de gaz (21a, 21b, 21c). Conformément à l'invention, au moins deux (21a, 21b) des tubes internes de circulation de gaz comprennent chacun, en section transversale, un flanc incliné (Fa, Fb) formant un angle (α) compris entre 30 degrés et 60 degrés par rapport à un plan horizontal (XY) qui est parallèle audit axe horizontal (Y) selon lequel se prolongent les tubes internes de circulation de gaz, les flancs inclinés des tubes internes de circulation de gaz définissant des surfaces planes de glissement entre les tubes internes de circulation de gaz.
