Equipement de protection individuelle (1) comprenant : - un élément de coque frontal (2) ; et - un élément de coque dorsal (3) ; - des éléments d'assemblage configurés pour un indexage et un maintien de manière détachable de l'élément de coque frontal sur l'élément de coque dorsal ; où cet équipement de protection individuelle est configurable entre : - une première configuration dans laquelle l'élément de coque frontal et l'élément de coque dorsal sont détachés et utilisables seuls et indépendamment ; et - une seconde configuration dans laquelle l'élément de coque frontal et l'élément de coque dorsal sont attachés et maintenus l'un sur l'autre au moyen des éléments d'assemblage et sont utilisables ensembles et conjointement.
