L'invention concerne une chambre à fission comprenant : - une première partie formant un premier volume étanche au gaz et contenant : • un gaz de remplissage ; • au moins une couche d'un matériau fissile ; et - au moins deux électrodes électriquement isolées entre elles, lesdites électrodes étant tout ou partie contenues dans le premier volume, une électrode étant reliée à au moins un élément conducteur ; le gaz de remplissage étant du xénon.
