Abstract

L’invention concerne une trappe (1) coupe-feu comprenant un cadre (2) destiné à être fixé sur la périphérie d’une ouverture, un vantail (3) articulé sur un côté par rapport au cadre (2) entre une position ouverte et une position fermée dans laquelle le vantail (3) repose sur le cadre (2), et une épaisseur de joint intumescent (4) positionnée dans un espace (5) situé entre le cadre (2) et la tranche du vantail (3). Selon l’invention, l’épaisseur de joint intumescent (4) est au moins égale à la moitié de la largeur de l’espace (5), de sorte que l’exposition du joint intumescent (4) au-delà d’une température seuil fait gonfler le joint intumescent (4) qui exerce alors une force de pression dirigée contre le cadre (2) et le vantail (3) afin de bloquer les bords du vantail (3) contre le cadre (2) et retarder, voire empêcher la déformation du vantail (3).
