Un ensemble propulsif (9), en particulier d’aéronef, comprenant un mât (5) et un dispositif de propulsion (S) comprenant un moteur (7) et une nacelle (6), le moteur (7) comprenant une hélice (8), l’ensemble propulsif (9) comprenant : Un dispositif de protection en attente (1) comprenant un premier organe de liaison (10) monté fixe sur le mât (5) et un deuxième organe de liaison (11) monté fixe sur le dispositif de propulsion (S), le deuxième organe de liaison (11) étant articulé en rotation par rapport au premier organe de liaison (10) selon au moins un degré de liberté, etAu moins un organe de retenue (4) maintenant le deuxième organe de liaison (11) fixe par rapport au premier organe de liaison (10), et configuré, en présence d’un effort de balourd prédéterminé (F) sur l'hélice (8), pour libérer le dispositif de protection en attente (1) afin de protéger le mât (5).
