Abstract

L’invention concerne un coussin gonflable de sécurité de type frontal (10) pour véhicule automobile, ledit coussin comportant un boîtier (11) prévu pour être logé à l’intérieur du moyeu (5) du volant (3) dudit véhicule, un générateur de gaz (13) logé dans ledit boîtier (11), ainsi qu’un sac gonflable de sécurité (12) logé à l’état replié à l’intérieur dudit boîtier et apte à se déployer à l’arrière dudit volant, ledit coussin comportant en outre un sac gonflable de support (14) logé à l’état replié à l’intérieur dudit boîtier et apte à se déployer, simultanément audit sac gonflable de sécurité (12), au-dessus dudit volant, ledit sac gonflable de support (14) étant en outre conformé de sorte à venir, dans sa configuration déployée, au contact de la portion supérieure dudit sac gonflable de sécurité (12) en configuration déployée de sorte à exercer une fonction de contre-appui sur cette portion supérieure.
