Abstract

La présente invention concerne un procédé pour détecter et éventuellement identifier un micro-organisme contenu dans un échantillon comprenant les étapes consistant à (a) placer l’échantillon, dans un milieu de culture liquide, en présence d'une électrode de mesure et d’une électrode de référence et dans des conditions adaptées à la croissance des micro-organismes, (b) mesurer, au cours du temps, la différence de potentiel entre l’électrode de mesure et l’électrode de référence, (c) calculer la dérivée de la différence de potentiel à partir des mesures effectuées à l’étape b) moyennant quoi le profil de la dérivée du potentiel est obtenu, et (d) détecter et éventuellement identifier un micro-organisme contenu dans ledit échantillon à partir du profil obtenu à l’étape c). La présente invention concerne également un système susceptible d’être mis en œuvre lors de ce procédé.
