Abstract

Le dispositif utilise pour mesurer la consommation de courant de la charge une première résistance (R1) ayant une forte valeur résistive et une seconde résistance (R2) ayant une faible valeur résistive. Des amplificateurs différentiels (15, 16, 17, 18) dont les sorties sont couplées à des convertisseurs analogiques numériques et à une unité de traitement (14), sont connectés sur chacun des nœuds des résistances. En fonction du niveau de courant, l’unité de traitement sélectionne avantageusement l’un des convertisseurs analogiques numériques pour estimer la consommation courante de courant dans la charge. Chaque borne d’entrée d’une résistance est avantageusement alimentée à partir d’un amplificateur de puissance (21, 22) et chaque amplificateur de puissance est avantageusement piloté par une boucle de contrôle (LOOP1, LOOP2). Pour des faibles courants de charge, le premier amplificateur (21) associé à la première résistance alimente la charge à travers les résistances (R1, R2) tandis que, pour de forts courants de charge, lorsque ce premier amplificateur sature, le deuxième amplificateur (22) associé à la deuxième résistance (22), prend le relais du premier amplificateur pour continuer à alimenter la charge (DUT).
