Dispositif (1) d’entraînement pour vélo à assistance électrique comprenant au moins une roue arrière (5), le dit dispositif d’entraînement comprenant un boîtier (3) logeant un axe de pédalier (2) couplé à un moteur via une transmission, une chaîne (4) ou courroie reliant l’axe de pédalier (2) à la roue arrière (5) du vélo, le dispositif d’entraînement comprenant également un tendeur (6) de chaîne (4) ou courroie comportant un support de fixation (7) au boîtier (3), un galet de serrage (8) monté pivotant sur le support (7) de façon à exercer une force de serrage sur la chaîne (4) ou courroie.
