L’invention concerne installation de production d’un fluide cryogénique comprenant un circuit (2) de gaz à refroidir ayant une extrémité aval (22) reliée à un stockage (8) cryogénique de gaz liquéfié, l’installation (1) comprenant, disposés dans une boîte froide (3), un ensemble d’échangeur(s) (6) de chaleur en échange thermique avec le circuit (2) d’hydrogène à refroidir et un dispositif (7, 9) de refroidissement cryogénique, l’installation (1) comprenant une conduite (12) de récupération de gaz de vaporisation comprenant une extrémité amont configurée pour récupérer du gaz de vaporisation d’un réservoir (19) et/ou du stockage (8) cryogénique et une extrémité aval reliée à l’extrémité aval (22) du circuit (2) d’hydrogène à refroidir, la conduite de récupération de gaz de vaporisation comprenant un échangeur (4, 5) de chaleur de réchauffage du gaz de vaporisation, un organe (10) de compression du gaz de vaporisation et un échangeur (4, 5, 6) de chaleur de refroidissement du gaz de vaporisation comprimé, l’échangeur (4, 5) de chaleur de réchauffage du gaz de vaporisation et l’échangeur (4, 5, 6) de chaleur de refroidissement du gaz de vaporisation comprimé étant situés dans la boîte froide (3).
