Une machine électrique pour un aéronef, comprenant un stator (1) comprenant au moins trois phases (10) comprenant chacune un bobinage (12), une branche de commande (11) et une branche de neutre (13), lesdites branches de neutre (13) étant reliées ensemble en un point neutre (14), la machine électrique (3) comprenant au moins un organe de protection (5) monté sur la branche de neutre (13) d’au moins une phase (10), chaque organe de protection (5) comportant : un état inactif (P1), dans lequel l’organe de protection (5) autorise la circulation du courant électrique dans chaque phase (10) sur laquelle l’organe de protection (5) est monté, et un état de protection (P2), dans lequel l’organe de protection (5) interrompt la circulation du courant électrique dans chaque phase (10) sur laquelle l’organe de protection (5) est monté, de manière à protéger la machine électrique en cas de court-circuit (CC).
