Abstract

L’invention concerne un procédé de fabrication d’un panneau isolant à base de paille de céréales, caractérisé en ce qu’il comprend les étapes : a) broyer mécaniquement et tamiser la paille pour obtenir une paille défibrée dont les brins présentent une longueur moyenne comprise entre 3 mm et 11 mm et dont le diamètre moyen est compris entre 0,5 mm et 2,5 mm, b) utiliser un mélangeur et mélanger la paille défibrée avec un matériau liant avec une proportion en masse comprise et 3 % et 25 % et de préférence comprise entre 4 % et 10 %, c) injecter de l’air comprimé dans le mélange pour homogénéiser ledit mélange, d) chauffer et calibrer en longueur et en largeur le panneau isolant, e) calibrer en épaisseur le matériau constitutif du panneau isolant, f) chauffer le panneau isolant pour le porter à une température d’au moins 90°C et de préférence comprise entre 110°C et 150°C, dans toute l’épaisseur dudit panneau isolant et pendant une durée d’au moins 3 mn, g) refroidir le panneau isolant jusqu’à la température ambiante, et h) emballer le panneau isolant.
