Abstract

L’invention concerne un système photonique pourvue d’une puce photonique faite en technologie silicium, ladite puce photonique (10) comprenant : - un modulateur de Mach-Zehnder (100) dont les sections de modulation (105, 106) s’étendent sur une longueur L inférieure à 3 mm ; - des premiers moyens d’ajustement (107) du point de fonctionnement ; - un amplificateur optique à matériaux semi-conducteurs (SOA) configuré pour amplifier un signal modulé par le modulateur de Mach-Zehnder, l'amplificateur optique à matériaux semi-conducteurs (SOA) est adapté pour que l’amplitude de modulation optique associée à la puce photonique, lorsque le déphasage fixe F est ajusté dans la gamme 0,6*pi – 0,9*pi, soit comprise entre -2 dBm et 6 dBm, en un port de sortie S disposé en aval de l’amplificateur optique à matériaux semi-conducteurs SOA.
