Abstract

Système d’affichage d’images comprenant une surface d’affichage étendue , procédé d’affichage d’images associé , logiciel et dispositif électronique programmable associés Ce système comprend une surface d’affichage étendue comportant une surface d’affichage principale, associé à au moins un écran, et au moins une surface d’affichage périphérique, associée à un élément d’affichage périphérique, s’étendant autour d’au moins une partie de la surface d’affichage principale, et une ou plusieurs unités de rétro-éclairage configurées pour éclairer ces surfaces d’affichage. Après réception (50) d’une pluralité d’images numériques représentées chacune par une matrice de données d’image, le système effectue une extraction (54) à partir de la matrice de données d’image, d’une matrice principale de données d’image de dimensions égales aux dimensions de l’écran, et une extraction ou génération (58) d’au moins une sous-matrice de données d’images complémentaires, et une commande (56, 60) de l’affichage de la matrice principale de données d’image sur l’écran et une commande des unités de rétro-éclairage pour effectuer un affichage de chaque sous-matrice de données d’images complémentaires sur l’élément d’affichage périphérique correspondant.
