Le dispositif de détection (17) du sens de rotation d’un rotor pour palier magnétique, comprend : - des moyens de comparaison (100) configurés pour comparer la vitesse de rotation du rotor à un seuil de vitesse (Se) prédéfini, - des premiers moyens de détermination (105) configurés pour déterminer le gradient de vitesse de rotation du rotor, et - des deuxièmes moyens de détermination (107) configurés pour déterminer le sens de rotation du rotor à partir du résultat de la comparaison de la vitesse de rotation du rotor au seuil de vitesse (Se) prédéfini et de la valeur du paramètre représentatif de la cinétique du rotor déterminé.
