Cette traverse avant (22) pour soubassement (6) de véhicule (2) comprend une partie arrière (44) formant une poutre (46) destinée à être en contact avec un premier bavolet latéral du véhicule (2) et avec un deuxième bavolet latéral du véhicule (2), une partie avant (40) comprenant une pièce frontale (42) munie d’une face avant (62) destinée à être en contact avec au moins un longeron avant (14) du véhicule (2), la traverse avant (22) comprenant une première portion de raccordement (64) s’étendant depuis une extrémité inférieure d’une face avant (50) de la poutre (46), la partie avant (40) de la traverse (22) comprenant une deuxième portion de raccordement (66) s’étendant depuis une extrémité inférieure de la pièce frontale (42) et se raccordant à la première portion de raccordement (64), la poutre (46) comprenant un évidement s’étendant d’une face inférieure (60) de la poutre (46) à une face arrière (58) de la poutre (46).
