Abstract

A loft ladder having a lower section telescoping within an upper section which is slidable on a trapdoor closed by the weight of the ladder when collapsed, has a handrail. The handrail is mounted on the upper section and may have a telescoping part which can be extended for the lower section. The rail may be mounted on pivoted arms. Specification 785,231 is referred to.
