Abstract

1,056,830. Wrapping-machines. OTTO HANSEL JUNIOR G.m.b.H. Jan. 15, 1964. No. 1721/64. Heading B8C. Articles, e.g. chocolate bars 1, are pushed along a work-table 2 by means of a slide 3 to a position at which a vertically reciprocable member 6 raises each bar, carrying with it a wrapper 13, through a folding box 12, the wrapper being held down by a reciprocable counter-holder 29 which is disengaged from the wrapper only after the bar 1 passes through an aperture 11 in a conveyer path 8. The conveyer path 8 and folding box 12 have apertures 37, 38 respectively enabling the member 29 to pass through them. Further wrapper folds are completed by movable members 14, 15, Figs. 3 and 5 (not shown), before the article is moved on the path 8 by pushers 10 mounted on chains 9. The counter-holder 29 is pivoted at 27 on a slide 26 driven on a shaft 17 by means of a crank 19 linked to a connecting- rod 21. Due to control of a pivot-pin 23 by a groove 24, the slide 26 is moved in phases. The swinging movement of the member 29 is effected by a cam (not shown) and roller 36, the movement being transmitted through a grooved lever 30 and roller 31.
