Abstract

1,219,829. Pressure testing pipe lengths. BRITISH CERAMIC RESEARCH ASSOCIATION. May 22, 1969 [May 22, 1968], No.24370/68. Heading G1S. A pipe 16 is sealed at each end by separate bungs 10 each having a recessed rim receiving a rubber ring 14 inflatable by means of an air valve 15. A valve in the centre of the bung may have a gas or liquid pressure supply connected to it to pressurize the pipe length between the bungs and any leakage of pressure in the length may be revealed by a gauge.
